I loved spending time with my dad, a locomotive engineer. I rode with him on steam locomotives. The scenery passing by, the smell and heat of the locomotive, and the whistle made an indelible impression upon me. My dad ran the Bicentennial Train. My son rode with him on the big Reading 4-8-4. My daughters' memories of riding with their grandfather are not as vivid as my son's, but they all know their dad, and chuckle a little. Listening to the radio with my mother, and hearing her sing, engendered in me a love for singing, which I do professionally. There is so much passion in music and song. The joy of painting came to me later in life. It now illuminates all of my loves, adding yet a new passion to share.
